Kinkz Salon & Day Spa was founded in 1993. It was first located on Apopka-Vineland Rd and flourished for 9 years. After much success, it moved to its current location in the Fountains Plaza on Sand Lake Rd in the Dr. Phillips area in the heart of "restaurant row" and has been there since 2002.
Tanya & Johnny Mack, owners and operators of Kinkz Salon & Day Spa
John Edward Mack, Jr., with over 20 years experience, has worked in hair salons all over the world. Starting his humble beginnings in South Florida, Johnny Mack's quick rise moved him to Beverly Hills, California where his exposure to high profile celebrities taught him the sensitivity of discreteness. With his high spirit of adventure, he couldn't stay in the States for long, so he moved to Australia where he did hair for 6 years and in the process climbed up Mt. Everest. Then back in the US, working in New York taught him competitiveness and gaining that "edge" over the rest producing the latest looks and the hottest trends.
Johnny Mack now lives in Florida with his wife, Tanya and two children and owns and operates Kinkz Salon & Day Spa.
HAIR STAFF
Michelle
Michelle has been a member of the Kinkz Staff since its start 15 years ago. She is proficient in cut, color, highlights, lowlights, and perms. She has a full book and needs about a 3 week notice for new clients. But you never know, it may pay to call and see if you can get an appointment with her sooner than you think!
Anette
Anette has been with Kinkz for several years. She is our resident specialist for special occasion up-do's. She is the best at blowing out long, thick, curly hair. She charges more, but believe me-she's worth it! She takes her time and you leave absolutely perfect. She also can color, cut, perm and straighten hair and awesome at mens' cuts. She also does facial waxing and eyelash extensions.

Dyan
Dyan has also been with Kinkz for several years. She is wonderful at cuts, blow outs, perms, and roller sets. She does wonders with mens' cuts and short cuts on women.
Teeci
Teeci has been with Kinkz for over a year. She is great for newer trendy cuts and styles. If you are going to a party, this is the girl to see. She does partial and full foils, hair extensions using Socap, Brazilian Hair Treatments for straightening, blow outs, cuts and color. Also great with mens' cuts.

Christina C
Christina is our make-over master. If you are looking for a new look, book an appointment with Christina. You better book it quick, too because her book is filling up quick. She can not only change your style with a cut, but she can add richness to your color. She has been with us for about a year.
Emily
Emily is one of our younger and newer stylists, but don't let that fool you. She is one of our hottest new talents for fresh and updated looks. She does highlights, lowlights, color, cuts, blowouts and can wax your eyebrows while processing.
Linnea
Linnea is a whiz at special occasion up-do's and make-up applications. Her background comes from her experience as a pagent winner and then later, a director. Book and appointment with this former Miss New York if you are going to your prom, homecoming, wedding or on a photo shoot. You may have seen her on the television reality series, "Crowned, The Mother of all Pagents".
Sherice
Sherice has her background doing hair in New York has trained her in several fields of hair style. She is persuant of her massage license currently and can choose the best hair care for your hair type and texture. Sherice holds her certification with Simplicity for hair extensions. She is our resident expert with African-American hair and braiding. She is very current on trendy up-do's on all types of hair.
Lorena R
Lorena, another one new to the salon, but not new to the area. She comes to us from a salon in south Orlando. She's a veteran at hair style and make-up. She does hair extensions using SoCap, straightening and makeovers.

Danielle just moved here from Colorado. She does hair cuts, blow-outs, highlighs, color, special occasion up-dos.
Johnny
Johnny Mack is certified with Great Lengths Hair Extensions. He will soon have his certification
with Great Lengths for cold fusion application and the air pressure application cutting the time
for a full head of hair extensions from 4 hours to 2 hours. His specialty is highlights. He does
short cuts, long cuts, curly hair, straight hair, men's cuts, children's cuts, and can fix anyone's
color mishap from another salon or your home trial!

Suwanna
Suwanna has been with Kinkz for 15 years. She has her clientele that has been with her for over 20 years. She is a virtuoso at pink and white gels and acrylics. She does full sets, fills, glitter gel toes, manicures, pedicures., and waxing. Good luck getting an appointment with Suwanna!
Lorena
Lorena is booking up quick. It's no wonder with all the services she performs! She does manicures, pedicures, glitter gel toes, acrylic and gel full sets and fills, all types of full body waxing, facials, body treatments, eyebrow and eyelash tint, eyelash perms, and ear candling. She works every day we are open.
Geidy
Geidy is our newest nail tech with years of experience with manicures, pedicures, acrylics including pink and white, and beautiful nail art. Geidy also does full body waxing, including Brazilian Wax on women and men.

Marc
Marc has been with us the longest and is on call everyday open to close and does all our massages. He has been with us for over a year. He and a partner own their own massage business.
Roberto
Roberto is actually on site more than anyone else and is on call and performs all massages. Got pain? He is the great at deep tissue.
Susan
Susan is on call and lives the closest so short notice, no problem. She performs all massages and body treatments.
Melissa
Melissa is on call everyday from 9am-1pm. She has a dual license for massage and skin care. She performs all massages, body treatments, facials, and ear candling.

Assistants

Yadhira holds several cosmetology and esthetician licenses in Puerto Rico for skin care and make-up artistry. She helps us out during the night shift shampooing, conditioning and treating your hair and scalp as well as assisting the hair stylists with their needs.

Lauren is our daytime receptionist. She handles all calls coming in, booking appointments, and checking out clients.
